CLT believes in being closely connected to one’s community- Jakkur and the surrounding villages- which has been home to the Organisation since the year 2000.
CLT has served the community through many programs like the digital literacy program, the Intel Computer ClubHouse After school Initiative, the annual scholarships in-kind to meritorious students.
The Jakkur community received the Srujana learning centre as a gift to their school from CLT India. The extension in premises will serve as a Technology Learning Centre for the community.

Digital Literacy
The Digital Literacy Programme is a software developed by CLT and implemented in collaboration with The Rotary Club, Bangalore where in the main objective is to upskill the first generation of ICT Tools. This specially crafted programme includes Computer. Basics, Internet usage, Social media, and exposure to digital devices like tablets, smartphones and basic PCs. The workshop is a certified course the Basics of Computer education, which will further used by the participants to train their students. This year, CLT has upgraded its courseware to version 1.5 which will cover advanced-level digital tools. Apart from Kannada, the content is available in Telugu.
Financial literacy
At CLT India, we understand the crucial role financial literacy plays in empowering the next generation. We’re passionate about equipping children with the knowledge and skills to navigate the financial world confidently. Our journey starts with the fundamentals, introducing them to the difference between debit and credit cards, and demystifying online banking. We don’t just explain the benefits of online transactions, but also equip them with the awareness of potential drawbacks, fostering responsible financial habits from a young age.
The After school Program
It provides an opportunity for the CLT India team to volunteer and work with children. The program includes fun activities such as movie screenings, computer skills, Spoken English, counselling, art and craft, STEM experiments, etc. The children interact with the Amazon Alexa device and have fun and interesting interaction.
Summer Camp
CLT organizes summer Camp for the children in the community. The program includes fun activities like pottery sessions, arts & crafts, environmental day, movie screenings, science day, math day, computer skill enhancement, Spoken English, career counseling, STEM experiments, etc.
Children's Library
A library is not just a place that houses books, it is a place where children learn to explore and imagine a world beyond their own. It is a space where the young readers interact with each other and Share stories. The value of a children’s library extends well beyond merely teaching a child literacy skills. Spending time browsing through stacks of books keeps the young minds active and gives children the chance to discover new books and new authors. Most children, who have access to libraries read more, have better language skills.
Children from the surrounding communities come to CLT library and it is also run by the children!
